I’m a filmmaker and storyteller.
I live at the foot of the Manhattan Bridge in Brooklyn, but I travel the world in search of stories.
After studying journalism and Russian language in Oklahoma where I grew up, it’s been a journey from the world of writing for newspapers and magazines into public radio and then on to documentary shoots and film sets as a director.
I moved to Russia after college and then ventured back to the United States to get a master’s degree in journalism at Northwestern University. I’ve worked on stories from the remote Russian Arctic to the deserts of Iraq and on every continent. (Except Antarctica. I’ve got my eye on you.)
Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredible humans and win recognition for my stories, including Emmy nominations, film festival selections, storytelling grants and a slew of Vimeo Staff Picks.
