Ex-judge testifies in exposure trial

Thompson said he never even considered using the penis pump to curb his erectile dysfunction, especially not in open court.
"To me it's inconceivable; it defies common sense," Thompson said.
Thompson said his best friend gave him the pump in his courtroom in 2002 as a joke. He said he kept the pump under the bench and had played with it and taken it apart in court before.
He said he had never seen a pump displayed in pictures taken by Foster in 2001.
Thompson was the first witness called by the defense in day six of testimony. The prosecution rested Monday morning after the testimony of Thompson's long-time court reporter Lisa Foster.
Thompson has been charged with four counts of indecent exposure. Each count carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in jail.
Under cross-examination, Foster stuck by her assertion that Thompson shaved his scrotum during a murder trial and urinated two times into a wastebasket. Foster also kept notes during trials when she heard the sound of a penis pump.
Defense attorney Clark Brewster repeatedly questioned Foster why she had not mentioned these instances and her notes when questioned by investigators at the Sapulpa Police Department and before the Council on Judicial Complaints.
"I just answered the questions they asked me," Foster said.
Foster said she didn't trust the investigators and didn't want to testify against Thompson in the first place.
Foster said her decision to testify and the statements she made were not part of any plan by the Sapulpa Police Department to "do harm to Donald Thompson."
Brewster has maintained the investigation stemmed from a longstanding feud between Sapulpa police and Thompson, who Brewster said had made rulings in criminal cases that angered the police.
